The Regulatory and legal standards we adhere to
All the electrical services we provide follow a number of regulatory and legal standards. All our calculations, designs, documentation and certification are in line with the 17th Edition British Standards (BS) 7671:2008 Amendment 3:2015.
We are registered with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC). As a result we are able to provide legal documented certification when installing electrical installations, inspection & testing and submitting building control notifications.

Recent regulatory changes
- Installations designed after 01 July 2015 must comply fully with BS7671:2008 Amendment 3:2015.
- Due to the number of consumer unit fires reported within domestic premises, consumer units and enclosures shall now be manufactured from non-combustible material (eg. metal) or be installed within a non-combustible enclosure or cabinet with sufficient space around them. This will be mandatory from 1st January 2016. See BS7671:2008 Amendment 3:2015 Regulation (421.1.200) and Regulation (132.12) for non-combustable enclosures, Consumer units and switch gear to comply with BS EN 61439-3.
New appliances
We can install all electrical appliances (Example a new cooker). It is always important to ensure that any new appliance is properly earthed and
the cable supplying power to the new appliance is suitable.
We carry out a number of checks including continuity, polarity and insulation checks as standard on the cables supplying new appliances. Please call to arrange installation.
